Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana.  The literal translation of the word and the symbol is “it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind.”

How to iron on:

Turn the iron to the middle or high temperature setting, Iron the side of the bag/jacket to make sure it's warm, Place the patch where you want to attach it and place a sheet of teflon, a cloth or a towel so you don't burn the patch.
